54 hole tournament played at Wedgewood, a course that is always in great shape and us players always look forward to play there.
Weather condition where tough both days rain day one and strong winds day 2, Starting the day I said to myself level par today will be competitive score in these conditions, played the first nine 2 over 2 bogeys and a birdie. Decent start as the front nine is a lot tougher than the back nine, made a soft drop on 10 out of the fairway, but managed to birdie the 15 and 18 the end my first on 72 level par.
First round 72 was pleased with the start, round of 67 NJ Arnaldi and 69 N Claassen left me in 3rd spot with 2 rounds to go on Sunday, playing in the final group was a great opportunity to see what the leader where doing. Played well in the morning shooting a 69. Starting the final round I was 4 shot off the leader, we had a tight battle on front 9 was 3 back with 9 hole to go. Gave myself a lot of opportunities to get closer to the leader, did not take them, closest I got to the leader was 2 shot but a strong finish from Naldo on 17 and 18 held on for a 4 shot win, well played Naldo deserved winners. 2nd place 72/69/72 decent showing in tough condition.
